The most appreciated raisins are obtained from seedless varieties, producing in different parts of the world. The Thompson and Sultanas (Turkey) varieties are the same, but receive different names depending on the place of cultivation. They are mainly used for dessert, in different cooking recipes, in sauces and in biscuits. Corinthian raisins come from seedless black grapes and are native to Greece. Malaga raisins come from the Muscat variety and are dried in the sun.
