The extra Fat chickpea or Mexican is of similar characteristics as the Special Fat Chickpea, but larger. This Mexican chickpea is extra thick grain, rounded shape, very wrinkled skin with very marked grooves and very light color, almost white. Mexican fat chickpea is ideal for winter dishes, cold salads or dishes with vegetables.
Consumption of this legume is highly recommended for people for its high nutritional value: chickpeas provide us with a lot of slow-absorbing carbohydrates, are rich in protein, minerals, iron and fiber and poor in saturated fats.
