Yes, MUCHO is a museum dedicated topromoting and publicize the history of chocolate in Mexico and the world; from pre-Hispanic times,through the introduction of chocolate inthe French court in 1660 (by Infanta María Cristina when marrying LouisXIV), the cocoa trade in New Spain,until wereached our times. In addition, in the Chocolate Museum,you will also be able to know how chocolate has been transformed over time, to become that delicious sweet that we now know, taking up that cultural richness of Mexico that has been gradually lost. And, if that's not enough, the Chocolate Museum also has a section dedicated tothe ingredients and aromas of chocolate,so you can enjoy a more intense experience; as well as a part dedicated to chocolate art.
It should be mentioned that the Chocolate Museum (MUCHO) is interactive and invites you to delve intothe history, the production process and the obtaining of cocoa in a very playful and fun way. In its activities and pieces you will also be able to know the importance that chocolate has had in Mexico and the world, throughout history.
One of the pieces or facilities that you can not miss is the chocolate room,which is a small space with more than 2,000 tablets of Mexican chocolate,in it you can enjoy the delicious aromas of chocolate; a unique feeling that you can only experience there. And, if that's not enough, in the Chocolate Museum you'll also find differentworkshops, for all levels, where you can learn more about chocolate making.
